Sewer Back Up

A severe thunderstorm caused lightening to hit this homes sump pump. This unfortunately caused the pump to malfunction causing water to back up into the homes basement. It is important to note that the before picture looks like it has absolutely nothing wrong with it. Sometimes when water damage occurs you cannot visibly tell it is there without touch. The carpet up through the padding was completely saturated with sewer water and needed to be tore up and disposed of correctly. We really appreciated this job because it was the home of an insurance adjuster that our SERVPRO franchise does a lot of work for.
