Sewer Back Up In Church

When a sewer backs up into a home or business it cannot be taken lightly. It is not as simple as just drying up the water. The water itself is filled with contaminants and disease causing bacteria which have the potential to make occupants very ill. Everything the water had touched must be taken some form of extra care. Porous materials must be disposed of. Hard surfaced areas must be sterilized and disinfected. The items discarded must be disposed of in a proper area. In the photo a church had a sewer back up which needed quite an extensive tear out to make sure the area would be healthy enough to occupy the congregation.
